Take each dose with a full glass of water (8 ounces or 240 milliliters). Avoid taking any other medication, food, or milk within at least 1 hour of taking penicillamine. Iron can interfere with the absorption of this medication. If you take supplements containing iron, take them at least 2 hours apart from your dose of this medication. Take the last dose at least 3 hours after the evening meal.Drink plenty of water while taking this medication unless your doctor directs you otherwise.Dosage is based on your medical condition and response to treatment.Use this medication regularly to get the most benefit from it.
